Delfin MTL 20.18
The Delfin MTL 20.18 is a compact, quiet industrial ATEX vacuum with side-channel blower (Side Channel Blower Ex Dust Tight Certified), designed for stationary on-board suctioning and general cleaning in Zone 22-classified areas. What does 3D Dc mean and how is the MTL 20.18 certified?
3D is ATEX Category 3 for dust (D), and Dc is the corresponding EPL. Both sides of the enclosure may be placed in Zone 22 -- internal and external. What is a side-channel blower, and why choose it?
A side-channel blower is a robust, oil-free blower with very long service life and low maintenance, suited to continuous operation. Unlike bypass and brushless motors, a side-channel unit can deliver high vacuum (3000 mmH²O peak, 2200 mmH²O continuous) for many hours without wear, which is essential for stationary duty.
Why is the model called stationary?
The MTL 20.18 is intended for fixed installation on a machine or process equipment, typically as a local suction unit for on-board suctioning. Unlike mobile units, it is not moved around. This provides a simpler, more reliable solution at fixed collection points.
