Depureco TX 550 P Z22
The Depureco TX 550 P Z22 is part of the TX Z22 range: three-phase side-channel blower 5.5 kW, 100 L AISI 304 container and 550 m3/h airflow at 240 mbar vacuum. TX is a dedicated production-line family of vacuums with 3x cartridge filter (90,000 cm2) and reverse jet cleaning as standard. The ATEX marking II 3D Ex h IIIB T140 Dc covers Zone 22 external -- combustible dust where the production environment does not reach category 1 or 2. Relief valve included to protect the motor from filter over-pressure. Suited to medium-sized and larger production plants with continuous dust generation, e.g. plastics production, paper industry or medium-sized powder coating.

Is the Depureco TX 550 P Z22 certified for Zone 21?
No. The TX 550 P Z22 is marked II 3D Ex h IIIB T140 Dc -- Zone 22 external only. Zone 21 requires category 2D marking. If your production has classified Zone 21 areas, choose a 1/2D model (e.g. Depureco BL 45 DEX 1/2D or PUMA 10 DEX 1/2D).
What is the difference between 3D and 1/3D?
The 3D marking (without 1/3D) means the machine is only certified to stand in Zone 22 external -- the internal collection compartment is NOT certified for ATEX. 1/3D means the internal compartment is also Zone 20 certified, which is necessary if the ingested dust itself poses an ignition risk inside the container. The TX Z22 range is 3D because the filter outlet prevents dust from reaching the motor, but the container is not certified as Zone 20. For internal Zone 20 choose e.g. the Depureco PUMA 10 DEX 1/3D.
What filter system does the TX 550 P Z22 have as standard?
Standard is a 3x cartridge filter in antistatic polyester M class with 90,000 cm2 total filter surface. Cleaning is reverse jet -- a manual compressed-air pulse that cleans the cartridges without opening the machine. HEPA H14 22,000 cm2 is optional for class H filtration. Automatic reverse jet is also optional (replaces the manual pulse with a timed pneumatic sequence).
Can the TX 550 P Z22 run on 60 Hz?
Yes. The side-channel blower is certified for 400 V 50/60 Hz, so it works both in Europe and on 60 Hz markets. Note that performance (airflow, vacuum) varies slightly between 50 and 60 Hz: at 60 Hz airflow rises by around 20 %, vacuum by around 44 %. When should I choose TX Z22 vs PUMA DEX?
TX Z22 is for medium-sized production plants with pure 3D certification -- Zone 22 external only, no internal Zone 20. PUMA DEX 1/3D by contrast also has internal Zone 20 certification for combustible dust collected inside the container under classified conditions. For heavy industrial duty (three-shift, steelworks, high flows), multiple simultaneous collection points or a need for a 100 mm inlet, choose PUMA DEX.
Is the TX 550 P Z22 mobile or stationary?
The TX 550 P Z22 is a stationary production vacuum at 150 kg with wheels for service relocation (not daily mobility). It is placed fixed at a production station with permanent hose routing. External dimensions 650 x 1100 x 1400 mm and weight make it unsuitable for daily relocation. For mobility choose the ECOBULL range (around 95 kg) or the BL range (38-45 kg).
