Tiger-Vac SS-25 AC TE (HY-C)
The Tiger-Vac SS-25 AC TE (HY-C) is a specialised vapour adsorption unit in the SS series. AC = Activated Carbon -- the unit has 25 kg activated carbon pellets included (211044C, 4 mm pellets) that adsorb VOC vapours from fuel and solvents directly in the unit before the air is exhausted. Unlike other SS TE models, the AC variant has only 3.8 L dust capacity -- because its purpose is not bulk recovery but vapour control. Use it with another vacuum (e.g. SS-25 HRS TE) or as a standalone VOC scrubber. Hydro Cart (HY-C) for ergonomic handling of the 117 kg unit. Same pneumatic motor and ATEX T6 class as the SS series -- zero electrical ignition risk, EN 17348 LC certified.

Questions and answers
What's the difference between SS-25 AC TE (HY-C) and SS-25 (TC) TE?
The SS-25 (TC) TE is a standard bulk-recovery vacuum with 56.8 L dust tank and Tilt Cart. The SS-25 AC TE (HY-C) is a dedicated VOC adsorber with only 3.8 L tank but 25 kg activated carbon pellets included for vapour control. Use the AC variant when you do NOT need bulk recovery, but need vapour scrubbing of another unit's exhaust, or as standalone VOC control in hangars with high vapour concentration. Use the standard (TC) variant when you need to recover large quantities of fuel/liquid. Often they are used together in an installation: (TC) for bulk, (AC) for vapour control on the exhaust.
How long do 25 kg activated carbon pellets last?
Depends on VOC concentration and operating time. In continuous operation in a hangar with moderate vapour concentration (e.g. JP-8 vapours at 10-50 ppm), 25 kg of carbon pellets can last 300-600 operating hours before saturation. In high concentration (fuel tank emptying, 1000+ ppm), it can be 50-150 hours. Tiger-Vac recommends pellet replacement based on fuel odour through the exhaust -- when the odour becomes noticeable, the filter is saturated. Replacement is simple: open the panel, empty the bag, fill a new bag (211044C, 25 kg).
