Tiger-Vac SS-55 (DM) TE

The Tiger-Vac SS-55 (DM) TE is the pneumatic version of the EXP1-55 (DM) TE with the same DM Tilting Cart with foot-activated front-wheel brakes. Same chassis and capacity as SS-55 (TC) TE Single Venturi (204 m3/h, 5080 mmH2O, 151 L dry / 170 L liquid, 50 mm inlet) but with a heavy-duty DM cart with foot-activated brakes. Pneumatic operation (T6, 85 °C max surface) provides maximum ATEX safety level without electrical ignition risk -- critical in hangars with high vapour concentrations around F-35 or hydrogen handling. Dual-certified ATEX + IECEx, EN 17348 LC for flammable and non-flammable liquids.

Questions and answers

What's the difference between DM and DMB carts?

The DM cart has foot-activated brakes on the two front wheels -- the operator steps on a brake pedal to lock the unit in place. The DMB cart (Dead Man Brake) has a handle that must be actively held for the unit to roll -- release the handle and the rear brakes engage automatically. DM is standard safety; DMB is the stricter safety variant required in certain defense procurements. Choose DMB when the unit may be unattended, on sloped surfaces, or in high-risk operations. Choose DM when manual brake activation is sufficient.

Is data missing from SS-55 DM/DMB TE?

Yes -- Tiger-Vac's brochure does not specify dimensions (L x W x H) or weight for the DM/DMB variants separately. We assume specs are strongly similar to SS-55 (TC) TE Single Venturi (102 x 71 x 117 cm, 60 kg), but cannot confirm them as official. We will supplement this page as soon as Tiger-Vac delivers rated data. If dimensions or weight are critical for your tender, contact us and we will source them directly from the factory.
