Tiger-Vac SS-55 HRS TE (HY-C)

The Tiger-Vac SS-55 HRS TE (HY-C) is the flagship model in the pneumatic TE series -- largest tank (151 L dry / 170 L liquid), 50 mm inlet for high-volume recovery, and High Recovery System with coalescing filter for optimal liquid/vapour separation. The combination of high capacity and fine filtration makes it well suited for heavy defense operations: defueling of transport aircraft (C-130, tankers), recovery of larger fuel spills, or standalone use as mobile VOC control in hangars. Hydro Cart (HY-C) is indispensable at this size -- a full 170 L liquid tank weighs 170+ kg. ATEX II 2GD T6 + IECEx + EN 17348 LC, 'GUARANTEED for the Safe Recovery of Flammable Liquids'.

Questions and answers

When do I choose SS-55 HRS TE over SS-55 (TC) TE?

Choose HRS when working with aerosolised liquids or where vapour emission is an active concern (e.g. hangars with poor ventilation, or operations close to personnel). HRS has a coalescing filter that reduces VOC vapour in the exhaust. Choose (TC) when you need standard bulk recovery -- typically in large-scale spill cleanup where vapour level is not critical. HRS is also heavier and has Hydro Cart (required due to weight and full-tank handling), while (TC) has Tilt Cart (lighter, simpler emptying).
