Tiger-Vac CD-2600 EX CR (MFS) 2D Z21
The Tiger-Vac CD-2600 EX CR (MFS) 2D Z21 is a vertically mounted, process-machine coupled ATEX dust vacuum -- marked II 1/2D to EN 17348 DT, i.e. category 1 internally (Zone 20) and category 2 externally (Zone 21) for combustible dust. The powerful three-phase TEFC motor (3.4 kW, 8 A) delivers 306 m3/h at 2540 mmH2O and is dimensioned for continuous 24/7 duty. Manual Filter Shaker (MFS) mechanically shakes the static-dissipative Teflon-laminated main filter clean so the cake drops into the 36 L detachable tank without opening the machine. The entire housing is built in stainless steel Type 304 and 316, IP65 protected. A HEPA H14 or ULPA U15 final filter can be added and is aerosol leak tested before shipment, making the unit ISO Class 4 (former Class 10) cleanroom compatible and suited for pharmaceutical recovery of tablets and active substances.
Applications
- Coupling to process equipment (reactor, mixer, tablet press) where internal Zone 20 is guaranteed
- Recovery of tablets and active pharma substances in Zone 21 production rooms
- Cleanrooms ISO Class 4 (former Class 10) with optional HEPA H14 or ULPA U15
- Continuous 24/7 duty in food production where AISI 304/316 is required
- Vertically mounted installations where floor space is limited

Questions and answers
Why is the CD-2600 a 2D model when it's marked II 1/2D?
The brochure title says 'CAT. 2D Z21', but the actual ATEX marking on the nameplate and certificate (LCIE 03 ATEX 6295 X) is II 1/2D. That means category 1 for the interior of the vacuum (Zone 20) and category 2 for the surroundings (Zone 21). The marking allows coupling to process equipment where the vacuum interior contacts a Zone 20 volume (e.g. a closed reactor or tablet press), while the production room outside is classified Zone 21. In short: the brochure's 'CAT. 2D' refers to the external zone, but the certification covers the internal Zone 20 as well.
What is the difference between Manual Filter Shaker (MFS) and Manual Reverse Purge (MRP)?
MFS uses a static-dissipative Teflon-laminated main filter (fluorocarbon coated). When vacuum drops or after a shift, the operator activates a lever that mechanically shakes the filter so the cake drops into the tank. MRP instead uses a static-dissipative aluminized spun bond reverse-purge cartridge, where airflow is briefly reversed through the cartridge to dislodge the cake. Both systems need no electronic valves and can be cleaned without opening the machine. MFS is typically cheaper and simpler, while MRP has a more durable cartridge that withstands many more cleaning cycles. CD-2600 is available in both variants -- choose MFS for standard applications and MRP for high-frequency cleaning requirements.
Is the unit mobile or stationary?
The CD-2600 is available in two configurations: a fixed (stationary) version for permanent coupling to process equipment and a mobile version with 4 wheels. We classify it in filtering as stationary because the primary use case is permanent coupling to a process machine. The mobile version functions more as a relocatable installation than a floor vacuum -- 112 kg weight and 191 cm height make daily moves impractical. Contact us for choice of CB (Carriage Base) or fixed-mount before ordering.
Which final filters can be added?
HEPA H14 (213182, 13.8125" x 3.875" / 35.1 cm x 9.8 mm with gasket installed, 99.995 % @ 0.3 um) or ULPA U15 (213181, same dimensions, 99.999 % @ 0.12 um). Both mount in a separate stainless steel 304 HEPA housing (215012). The filter is aerosol leak tested before shipment and a certificate is supplied with each filter. Choose H14 for pharmaceutical and laboratory applications; choose U15 when operating in ISO Class 4 cleanrooms or handling particularly toxic active substances.
Can it pick up liquids?
No. The CD-2600 EX (MFS) 2D Z21 is certified EN 17348 DT -- dry-only recovery. The brochure mentions liquids can be recovered into a separate tank, but only as one-off recovery and only for non-combustible liquids. For routine wet/dry in Zone 20/21 a dedicated WD model must be specified. Contact us for advice.
What is included in delivery?
