Delfin DM2 EL 1/2D LP
The Delfin DM2 EL 1/2D LP is the flagship solution for Zone 21 with endless bag: two brushless motors deliver 430 m³/h at 2250 mmH²O vacuum, and the Longopac system enables continuous collection of combustible dust without operator exposure. The model is ATEX-certified 1/2D Da/Db (internal Zone 20, external Zone 21) and complies with EN 17348:2022.

What is the difference between the DM2 EL 1/2D LP and the standard DM2 1/2D?
Both are ATEX 1/2D Da/Db and use the same brushless motor platform. The difference is the collection system: the DM2 1/2D has a 100 L stainless container with a synthetic safebag. The DM2 EL 1/2D LP has a Longopac endless bag (20 m), so the operator never opens the machine during emptying.
Does the DM2 EL 1/2D LP comply with EN 17348:2022?
Yes. The DM2 EL 1/2D LP meets EN 17348:2022 -- the harmonized standard for industrial vacuums handling combustible dust in ATEX-classified environments.
How long is the Longopac cassette?
The standard Longopac cassette contains 20 metres of endless bag. The number of individual bags depends on dust volume and the chosen length per cut-off -- typically 40-100 individual bags per cassette.
Why brushless motors?
Brushless motors have no carbon brushes, are quieter and have significantly longer service life than bypass motors under continuous operation. On Zone 21 models, where long runtime is the norm, this is the correct trade-off between purchase price and life-cycle cost.
How loud is the DM2 EL 1/2D LP?
Sound pressure is 74 dB(A) measured per EN ISO 3744. That is about 2 dB lower than the standard DM2 1/2D (76 dB(A)), attributable to the Longopac version's slightly different cabinet geometry.
